Flu vaccine update 12-29-09
(Date posted: December 29, 2009) It is recommended that patients of Children's Medical Group (over 6 months of age) receive the seasonal flu vaccine and the H1N1 vaccine.
As of 12/29/09 we received our additional seasonal flu and DO HAVE seasonal flu shots for all ages (6 months and up).
We currently do have a limited supply of H1N1 vaccine (shot and mist) for the following populations:
1. 6 mo - 2 yrs old ***Currently 12.29.09, out of stock*** (shot, 2 doses required 1 month apart)
2. 2 - 4 yrs old and healthly (mist only, 2 doses required 1 month apart)
3. Over 2 years old with high risk factors such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease (shot, if under 8 years old 2 doses are required 1 month apart)
We hope to have H1N1 vaccine mist available to all healthy patients soon. We will update our website as we know more.
